本大学医学部は、2025年9月開催の教授会において、北里大学大村智記念研究所 ウイルス感染制御学の芳賀彗 准教授を客員研究員として承認いたしました。
つきましては、2025年10月1日付で同准教授を招聘いたしますことを、ここにお知らせいたします。

芳賀客員研究員は、慶應義塾大学にて博士（医学）を取得。国立感染症研究所・ウイルス第二部第一室等を経て北里大学に着任。その後、米国ベイラー医科大学へ2年間の研究留学を経て、2019年に北里大学に復帰し現在に至っています。

今後はモイ教授らと研究等をおこなう予定です。

Dr. Kei Haga, Associate Professor at the Kitasato University Satoshi Ōmura Memorial Institute of Infection Control, was approved as a visiting researcher at the Faculty of Medicine’s professorial board meeting on September, 2025. He will be joining our Department from October 1, 2025.

Dr. Haga, a visiting researcher, earned his Ph.D. in Medicine from Keio University. After working in the Department of Virology 2, Division 1, at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, he was appointed to Kitasato University. He later spent two years as a research fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in the United States and returned to Kitasato University in 2019, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor.

He will be conducting research with Professor Moi and team.
